Homopolar Sound Generator
The Homopolar Sound Generator draws on the idea of the tonewheel, the world's simplest motor and DIY electronics. A blinker, attached to the motor, passes over a light sensor controlling both acoustic feedback and the Homopolar's electronic circuit. The instrument is predominantly generative, and is self-supporting with its own speaker and amplification.
Confectionary and Tobacco
A range of sound generating electronic devices housed in old tins.
End-pin Controller
The end-pin controller was built to diffuse sound on a fixed medium whilst simultaneously performing on the double bass. The controller was developed whilst at STEIM in 2002 with kREEPA. Work on the end-pin controller also contributed to the development of the Oik project at STEIM.
Flickertron
Dual oscillator light dependent device designed to work with large strobe light.
Springs and Things
Giant DIY spring reverb. Used with the kreepback instrument.
Fluorescent RFI
Flickering light bulb and radio interference device.

Victorian Teapots
Inside the teapots are small loudspeakers that have corks stuck to the centre of their cones. Contact microphones are then stuck to the corks. Using feedback, the resonance of the teapot, and the opening and closing of the lid, a variety of different tones can be produced. Performing with two teapots creates different beating effects. These ornate Victorian teapots were used for the piece entitled Slowworm, performed at Fylkingen, Sweden, 2007. The teapots are a tribute to Alvin Lucier.
Pinboard
The 4049 Study/Pinboard is an instrument that can fit in the pocket and uses just one integrated circuit (IC). This noise instrument has two oscillators, distortion, filter, feedback network, hum and radio interference that are controlled by pin electrodes. Instant noise on a shoestring!
Candlestick (Night of the Waxworks)
Brass candlestick (human body resistance) and light dependant resistor. Originally designed for a performance that incorporated a multi-candlestick controller for a concert at auxxx, OT301, Amsterdam, 2006.
Zircular
Miniature self-contained oscillator, light and loudspeaker with string for spinning attached.
